The 9th World Federation of the Deaf Youth Section (WFDYS) Youth Camp is an official part of the XX World’s Congress of the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD 2027), hosted in the United Arab Emirates in September 2027.
Held alongside the World Congress, the Youth Camp provides a dedicated space for deaf youth from around the world to come together for exchange, learning, and leadership development, while remaining connected to the Congress’s broader human rights and policy discussions.
The Youth Camp will take place in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates, from 9 to 15 September 2027.

Al Ain is known as the Garden City of the UAE and is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its landscapes, forts, oasis systems, and cultural history represent sustainability, continuity, and deep connection between people and place.
Hosting the WFDYS Youth Camp in Al Ain reflects the values of the global deaf youth movement — learning from the past, engaging in the present, and shaping a positive future through leadership, identity, and community.
The official logo of the 9th WFDYS Youth Camp was developed using a visual first, deaf centred approach, recognising that deaf and hard of hearing people rely primarily on visual communication.
The design draws inspiration from Al Ain’s heritage and environment, including its mountains, forts, oasis, water systems, and natural landscapes. Each element reflects values of youth, sustainability, resilience, and global connection, aligning the identity of the Youth Camp with its host city.
The logo symbolises unity between culture, environment, and deaf youth leadership, and visually represents the theme of the Youth Camp.

The WFDYS Youth Camp 2027 is organised by the World Federation of the Deaf Youth
Section (WFDYS), in partnership with the UAE Deaf Association and the Zayed Authority for People of Determination.
This collaboration reflects strong cooperation between global deaf youth leadership and national institutions, supporting accessibility, inclusion, and rights based participation.
